Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 66:
- This is the last DWCS episode for the season, and we have six fights to look forward to. It has overall been a pretty good season of the show and there have been a number of exciting prospects who have been signed to the UFC, and this episode should be no different.
- At bantamweight, Cortavious Romious and Ramon Taveras. Romious has won his last three fights in a row which includes a victory in LFA in his last bout. As for Taveras, he lost via TKO to Serhiy Sidey earlier this season of DWCS but the stoppage was controversial so he is getting another chance to fight again. Overall, you have to lean towards Romious to win.
- At flyweight, Andre Lima fights Rickson Thai Zenidim. Lima is unbeaten in his MMA career with six wins and no losses, including a victory in LFA in his last bout. As for Zenidim, he is coming off a knockout win over UFC veteran Carlos Huachin in his last fight. He has fought 15 times in his MMA career, with 14 victories compared to just one defeat. This should be a very fun fight between two Brazilian fighters who are looking to make it to the UFC. You have to lean toward Lima though given the fact he has not tasted defeat yet.
