Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 169:
- In the featherweight main event, Landry Ward fights Alfred Walker. Ward has a 1-0 record in LFA and he is riding a three-fight win streak overall at the moment. He trains at Kill Cliff FC, so you know that he is training with a fantastic team. As for Walker, he has been a pro dating all the way back to 2012 and this is actually his LFA debut. He is coming off two straight wins heading into this fight, and in addition to MMA, he has a ton of kickboxing fights on his resume. That being said, he hasn’t had as much success overall as Ward has had in MMA. Ward is a huge favorite here, which makes sense given how much success he’s had recently.
- In the flyweight co-main event, Kevin Fernandez takes on Joseph Camacho. Fernandez is 4-1 overall fighting in LFA and he’s coming off of three straight wins overall in his career. Out of his six career victories, four have come by stoppage. As for Camacho, he is 1-1 overall in LFA and he is coming off of a win in his last bout. Both of these guys are pretty solid fighters, but with Fernandez riding a nice win streak right now, it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s the favorite.
