Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 64:
- On this week’s edition of DWCS, we have a welterweight bout between Danny Barlow and Raheam Forest. Barlow is unbeaten in his MMA career with four of his six wins coming by way of stoppage. As for Forest, he’s 7-1 with five of his wins coming by way of finish. Regardless of who wins this fight, you’d figure the winner will be signed to the UFC since they will likely win this fight by stoppage. I would lean toward Barlow in this one since he is an undefeated fighter. That being said, Forest is a solid prospect himself and could very well pull off the upset too.
- Also on the card is a heavyweight bout between Alexander Soldatkin and Mario Piazzon. Soldatkin has won 11 straight fights in his MMA career so he enters this fight with a ton of momentum, which we know is always something to watch out for when picking and choosing winners. With Piazzon, he is unbeaten in his pro MMA career with a 6-0 record with five of those wins coming by way of stoppage. Overall, this should be another exciting heavyweight bout to watch out for. Given Soldatkin is coming off of a massive win streak, you have to lean toward his way to win this fight, but Piazzon certainly has a puncher’s chance, as well.
