Here are my quick thoughts on the 2023 PFL Europe Playoffs:
- The main event of this PFL card is a welterweight bout between Cedric Doumbe and Jordan Zebo. Both guys have perfect 4-0 records in MMA so this should be an interesting fight to watch regardless of who gets their hand raised. Doumbe is a former GLORY kickboxer and since joining the pro MMA ranks in 2021, he has won all four of his fights by stoppage. We know he has incredible striking skills so he should be able to get many more wins as a pro. As for Zebo, he is an MMA Factory product who is also unbeaten since turning pro in 2022. In his last fight, he scored a head-kick knockout. You have to lean toward Doumbe to get the win in this fight, but Zebo also looks like a solid prospect who could potentially pull off the upset.
- Also on the card is a welterweight bout between Abdoul Abdouraguimov and Brad Wheeler. Abdouraguimov has won his last six fights in a row and he was one of the better unsigned fighters out there until he got signed by PFL. As for Wheeler, he is a journeyman. It’s pretty clear that Abdouraguimov is going to be a massive favorite to win this fight.
