Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 58:
- Headlining the DWCS 58 card is a lightweight bout between prospects George Hardwick and Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady. Hardwick has won his last eight fights in a row and he enters this bout having been the CWFC lightweight champion. As for Al-Selwady, he has won his last four fights in a row while fighting for the Fury FC promotion. However, we have seen him get knocked out three times, and given that Hardwick is a knockout artist, you can see why the betting odds are so heavily in Hardwick’s favor, as he really should win this fight by TKO.
- Also on the card is a women’s strawweight bout between Eduarda Moura and Janaina Silva. Moura has won all eight fights in her pro MMA career since making his professional debut just last year, with seven of those wins coming by way of stoppage. It has been impressive to see what she has done in the sport in such a short amount of time. As for Silva, she is 5-0 as a pro since moving up to the professional ranks in 2019. Given how many wins Moura has in such a short period of time, you have to lean toward her to get the win in this fight. But having said that, Silva is a good prospect as well and of course has a chance to pull off the win here.
