Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 161:
- The main event of LFA 161 sees Cody Davis take on Igor Siqueira for the LFA flyweight title. Davis is 3-1 overall in LFA and he has won his last two bouts in a row heading into this one. As for Siqueira, he enters this bout having won his last three fights in a row. Ironically, both men have each only suffered one pro loss to Mark Climaco. This should be a fun title fight to watch down at 125lbs, but Davis opened up as a big betting favorite to get his hand raised here.
- Also on the card is a middleweight bout between Adriano Rodrigues and Renato Valente Alves. Rodrigues enters this bout on a two-fight winless skid and he last won a fight back in 2020. He does have 10 years of pro MMA experience and he has fought some solid competition throughout the years, but he hasn’t had much success as of late. As for Valente Alves, he has a 2-3 record over his last five fights, with all of those bouts taking place under the LFA banner. While he has been inconsistent, I like that he’s been fighting in the LFA cage and taking on solid competition. The oddsmakers actually opened up Rodrigues as the betting favorite here, but the line quickly flipped and now Valente Alves is the betting favorite.
