Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 160:
- The main event of LFA 160 features John Sweeney against Allan Begosso for the vacant LFA bantamweight title. Sweeney has won his last six fights in a row, including two straight wins in LFA. Overall, he holds an all-time LFA record of 4-0. As for Begosso, he hasn’t fought since last fall, when he lost a decision to Farid Basharat on DWCS. Overall, his LFA record all-time is 3-1. This should be a very good fight, but given how long of a win streak that Sweeney is on at the moment, he deserves to be the betting favorite heading into this title fight matchup.
- In the co-main event, Dylan Budka takes on Azamat Bekoev for the vacant LFA middleweight title. Budka has won his last five fights overall, and he has a 3-0 record in LFA. As for Bekoev, he has won his last three fights overall, and he holds a 1-0 record all-time in LFA. This should be a very good fight as both of these fighters are on a roll heading into this matchup. However, the oddsmakers opened up Bekoev as a big favorite to get the win here. He is an excellent prospect, and it makes sense that he is favored, but you can’t count out Budka entirely.
