Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2023: Week 5:
- In the main event of PFL 5, Ante Delija fights Maurice Greene in the heavyweight division. Delija has won his last four fights in a row, and he won the promotion’s heavyweight tournament last season. As for Greene, he is coming off a big win over Marcelo Nunes in his last outing. While Greene certainly had a great showing in his last fight, Delija has been the more consistent fighter in recent years, and he’s the clear favorite to get the nod here.
- Also on the card, Larissa Pacheco takes on Amber Liebrock in the women’s featherweight division. Pacheco won the promotion’s women’s lightweight tournament last season when she upset Kayla Harrison in the finals. Now, she is back down at women’s 145lbs and she kicked off her featherweight run with a win over Julia Budd. Now, she takes on Liebrock, who has won four straight fights, including a spectacular knockout win in her PFL debut earlier this year. Despite Liebrock coming off of a great win and having a ton of experience, Pacheco obviously has to be favored here given how much she has already accomplished in the PFL. Not surprisingly, she is the biggest betting favorite on this whole card.
