Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 159:
- In the main event of LFA 159, the interim LFA light heavyweight belt is on the line between Rodolfo Bellato and Acacio dos Santos. Bellato is just 27 years old and coming off of a knockout win in LFA `in his last fight. He has a 3-0 record in LFA with three finishes. He competed in Dana White’s Contender Series last year, losing by knockout to Vitor Petrino. As for dos Santos, he is coming off of a TKO victory in his last fight, bouncing back from a decision loss to Anton Turkalj on Contender Series last year. Both fighters are talented, but Bellato has a better record, so it’s not a surprise at all that he’s a big favorite to win here.
- In the co-main event, Anderson Ferreira takes on Junior Luiz in a lightweight bout. Ferreira has won his last three fights in a row, including a knockout win in LFA in his last bout. As for Luiz, he is 0-1 overall in LFA. The oddsmakers opened up Ferreira as a sizeable favorite to win.
