Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 158:
- In the headliner, the vacant LFA welterweight title is on the line between Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani and Jacobi Jones. Lebosnoyani is riding a three-fight win streak at the moment and he has a perfect 4-0 record fighting for LFA. As for Jones, he has fought his entire career for LFA and he has a 5-1 record inside the Octagon. Overall this should be a tremendous match for the vacant 170lbs title in LFA. The odds opened as a Pick ’em for this fight, which makes sense considering both men have had tremendous runs during their LFA careers.
- The co-main event features bantamweights Kevin Natividad and Matheus Silva. Natividad is coming off his stint in the UFC where he lost all three of his fights inside the Octagon. He was not impressive in the UFC, but he had a 4-1 record in LFA before joining the big show, and he will look to get his fifth UFC win against Silva in this fight. As for Silva, he is making his LFA debut here after a career mostly spent fighting in Brazil. Despite Natividad losing three straight fights, he’s the more proven fighter here and he should be heavily favored to win this matchup.
