Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 154:
- The main event of Cage Warriors 154 features Dylan Hazan and Caolan Loughran competing for the vacant CWFC bantamweight title. Hazan is unbeaten with a 9-0 record in MMA, including a 4-0 mark as a pro for CWFC. As for Loughran, he’s unbeaten with a 7-0 record and he has a 3-0 mark in CWFC. On paper, this looks to be a well-matched fight between two men who don’t know what losing feels like. The oddsmakers opened up Loughran as a moderate favorite here, but Hazan is talented and of course has a good chance to pull of the victory.
- The co-main event of Cage Warriors 154 sees former UFC fighter Darren Stewart take on Leon Aliu at middleweight. Stewart is 1-1 since returning to CWFC following his stint in the UFC, losing his first fight and then bouncing back with a knockout win his last time out. As for Aliu, he is coming into this fight off of a loss on Dana White’s Contender Series. Although Aliu is the slight betting favorite here at the open, this seems like a fight that Stewart can win.
