Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 295:
- The Bellator bantamweight tournament concludes when Raufeon Stots meets Patchy Mix. Stots is the current champion and he has won 11 straight fights since his only career defeat to Merab Dvalishvili back in 2017. He is a perfect 7-0 in Bellator and he has proven that he is one of the best bantamweight fighters the promotion has on its roster. As for Mix, he has won four straight fights since his only career loss to Juan Archuleta. Overall, he has a 6-1 record under the Bellator banner. This should be an amazing fight and it is clearly one of the best matches all weekend long. Stots opened up as the betting favorite, but you can’t count out Mix.
- As for the co-main event, it features Kana Watanabe against Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at women’s flyweight. Watanabe has a 3-1 overall record in Bellator, with her only loss in the promotion coming against the champion Liz Carmouche. As for Macfarlane, she is the former champion but she appears to be on a decline with just a 1-2 record over her last three fights. While Macfarlane is the former champ, Watanabe opened up as the betting favorite here due to looking better as of late.
