Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 152:
- The CWFC lightweight title is on the line when champion George Hardwick takes on challenger Yann Liasse. Hardwick has won his last seven fights in a row, including winning the CWFC lightweight belt and then defending it one time. He has looked great lately and a few more wins in CWFC could put him on the UFC’s radar. As for Liasse, he is unbeaten over his last six fights, with the majority of them coming in the KSW promotion. Overall, this looks like a very exciting fight for the CWFC lightweight belt. That being said, Hardwick is the champ for a reason, so it makes sense that he opened up as a sizeable betting favorite to win this fight.
- In bantamweight action, Nathan Fletcher fights Daan Duijs. Fletcher has spent his entire MMA career in Cage Warriors since joining the promotion in 2019, going 7-1 overall in the promotion with six stoppage wins. As for Duijs, he made his CWFC debut last year and picked up a submission win. Both fighters have a lot of finishes on their resumes, so the odds of this fight going the full three rounds seem slim. That being said, Fletcher opened up as the favorite.
