Here are my quick thoughts on 2023 PFL Europe Regular Season: United Kingdom:
- The main event of the first PFL Europe card this year features light heavyweights Simeon Powell and Mohamed Amine. Powell turned pro in 2021 and he’s already a perfect 7-0 in his career with six wins coming by stoppage. He won three fights in PFL last year and he appears to be a tremendous prospect who, at 24 years of age, has a lot of time to keep improving. As for Amine, he has won five of his six pro fights, including four of those wins coming by way of stoppage. It’s fair to say that this fight is unlikely to go the distance. That being said, it’s far more likely Powell wins this fight by stoppage, which is why he is the clear favorite here.
- In the co-main event, Dakota Ditcheva takes on Malin Hermansson at women’s flyweight. Ditcheva is already 7-0 in her pro career with six wins coming by way of stoppage, and she has future star written all over her. As for Hermansson, she has lost her last three fights in a row entering this fight. It’s pretty clear why Ditcheva is a big betting favorite to win this upcoming fight.
