Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 151:
- In the main event of Cage Warriors 151, Will Currie fights Mick Stanton for the vacant CWFC middleweight belt. Currie has won his last four fights in a row and he has looked fantastic as he’s finished three of those fights. As for Stanton, he has won two of his last three fights, including a decision win over Darren Stewart, the former UFC fighter. Overall, this should be an excellent fight for vacant middleweight gold, with the winner potentially getting UFC interest, particularly if it’s Currie, who is a big favorite to capture the vacant title in this match.
- In the co-main event, Steve Aimable takes on Alberth Dias at featherweight. Aimable has been a staple of CWFC shows for years, and although he lost his last fight, he won four straight before that, so he’s still a capable fighter. Dias, on the other hand, is making his debut for CWFC after competing in other promotions, including Bellator. Although Dias is coming off a big win over UFC veteran Richard Smullen in his last fight, he’s still a big underdog here.
