Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 153:
- The main event of LFA 153 sees Jose Mariscal take on Guilherme Faria in a featherweight bout. Mariscal has won his last two fights by stoppage, so he enters this bout with plenty of momentum. He has fought for LFA three times previously, going 1-2 in those bouts. As for Faria, he has won his last two bouts, including a win over Zach Zane in LFA and a notable victory over former UFC fighter Daron Cruickshank in XFC. He has been a pro since 2008 and he has a ton of experience. Overall, I really like this fight between two fighters who have been in the game for a long time. Mariscal is the favorite, but it should be very competitive.
- The co-main event of LFA 153 features bantamweights Askar Askar and Matheus Silva. Askar has a 5-2 all-time record in LFA, and he’s won three of his last four fights for the promotion. He’s a fighter who has long been rumored to be a UFC-caliber fighter, and if he gets another win here, he’ll get one step closer to reaching his ultimate goal. As for Silva, this is his LFA debut and he enters this fight coming off of a knockout win in his last outing. Overall, Askar is the clear favorite in this fight, which is why he’s such a big betting favorite as per the odds.
