Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 68 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 68 is a five-round heavyweight bout between Serghei Spivac and Derrick Lewis. This fight was originally scheduled to take place last November but Lewis pulled out on fight day with an illness. Hopefully, this time around, the fight stays intact and we get to see it. Spivac has been on a roll as of late and is quickly emerging as one of the best young heavyweights on the UFC roster, while Lewis is the UFC’s all-time knockouts leader, but he has been getting knocked out himself as of late. Lewis always has the ability to catch his opponent with a big shot on the chin and knock them out. But Spivac seems to be the more well-rounded fighter, so it’s not surprising to see him open as the betting favorite for this fight.
- We have a light heavyweight bout between Da-Un Jung and Devin Clark in the co-main event. Jung was on a roll until his last fight when Dustin Jacoby brutally knocked him out. As for Clark, he is coming off a knockout loss to Azamat Murzakanov. This is an important fight for both men to get back on track, and the oddsmakers have Jung as the betting favorite here.
