Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 151:
- The main event of LFA 151 is the finals of the featherweight tournament between Jose Delano and Gabriel Santos. Delano has won his last 10 fights in a row including three straight fights for LFA. As for Santos, he’s a perfect 9-0 in his MMA career and he won his last fight in LFA. This looks like an awesome fight between two very dangerous fighters and it seems unlikely it will need the five scheduled rounds. The oddsmakers set this fight as a Pick ’em with both fighters coming in at -115 odds each. The betting odds suggest it’s a fight that could go either way, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
- In the co-main event, it’s the LFA women’s vacant strawweight belt on the line between Julia Polastri and Brenda Gottig. Polastri competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021 but lost a decision to current UFC fighter Jasmine Jasudavicius. Since then, she has won two fights including her last fight for LFA. As for Gottig, she is unbeaten with six wins in her MMA career, though her level of competition has not been as high as Gottig’s. Overall, this should be a competitive fight, but Polastri opened as the favorite due to fighting better competition.
