Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 64 Opening Odds:
- The headliner of UFC Vegas 64 is a five-round women’s strawweight bout between top contenders Marina Rodriguez and Amanda Lemos. With a big win here, the winner of this fight could absolutely be in play for a potential title shot at 115lbs. Rodriguez is coming off four straight wins, including a split decision win over Yan Xiaonan earlier this year. She has been looking great as of late, and with a win over Lemos, she could be in line for a title shot. As for Lemos, she has won six of her last seven bouts, including a submission win over Michelle Waterson-Gomez in her last fight. Overall, it’s a competitive fight on paper between two of the strawweight division’s best fighters, but overall, you have to lean toward Rodriguez to win.
- As for the co-main event, it’s a fun one between Neil Magny and Daniel Rodriguez. Magny is coming off of a submission loss to Shakvat Rakhmonov, but he remains one of the welterweight division’s toughest outs. As for Rodriguez, he has won his last four fights in a row. Again, it looks like a very close fight on paper, and one that very well could go either way.
