Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Road to UFC: Abu Dhabi Episode 6:
- The second Road to UFC card taking place this weekend should also be a very exciting card for fans looking to tune in to watch the top international prospects try to make their marks inside the Octagon. In the headliner, we have JeongYeong Lee against Kai Lu competing in a featherweight bout. Just 26, Lee has won his last five fights in a row, including an armbar win at Road to UFC 3. He looks like a very good prospect and it’s not a huge shock to see him as a big favorite for this fight considering his recent string of victories. As for Lu, he picked up a knockout win at Road to UFC 4, and overall he has won seven of his last eight fights. The line seems a bit wide here given Lu’s recent wins, but overall Lee is the better prospect here.
- Also on the card Rinya Nakamura at Shohei Nose at bantamweight. Nakamura is unbeaten in his MMA career and he picked up a stoppage win at RTU earlier this year. As for Nose, he’s won his last five fights, including a stoppage win at the same event. On paper, it looks like a close fight but Nakamura’s wrestling background is likely why he is a big favorite here.
