Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 145:
- The main event of LFA 145 is a light heavyweight bout between Bruno Assis and Jesse Murray. Assis was knocked out by Ozzy Diaz earlier this year, a loss that snapped a three-fight win streak for the Brazilian. A veteran of LFA, Brave CF, and Dana White’s Contender Series, Assis has a number of submissions on his resume, showing how dangerous he is on the ground. As far as Murray goes, he’s also a DWCS veteran who is coming off of a decision win in his last fight to bounce back following a first-round TKO loss to Caio Borralho on DWCS. Overall, this looks like a very solid matchup between two fighters on the cusp of the UFC. Assis opened up as a small favorite here, but Murray definitely has a chance to get the win.
- In the co-main event slot is a women’s flyweight bout between Jena Bishop and Olivia Beeskau. Bishop turned pro last year and since then she has won all three of her MMA fights, all coming under the LFA banner. As for Beeskau, she turned pro last year and she has gone 1-1 since then. Overall, this should be an interesting fight, but given Bishop is undefeated and has the better pedigree on paper, she opened up as the clear betting favorite to win this fight.
