Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 286:
- The main event of Bellator 286 features Patricio Pitbull against Adam Borics for the Bellator featherweight championship. Pitbull is coming off of a decision win over AJ McKee in his last belt to reclaim his belt. Overall, he has won eight of his last nine fights. As for Borics, he is 9-1 overall in Bellator and he is riding a four-fight win streak at the moment, with a decision win over Mads Burnell in his last fight. Borics is an excellent fighter and he has long been one of the best featherweights in Bellator. However, Pitbull is as elite as it gets at 145lbs, and he absolutely deserves to be the clear betting favorite to get his hand raised in this title fight.
- In the co-main event, the aforementioned AJ McKee takes on Spike Carlyle in a lightweight contest. McKee is coming off of that decision loss to Pitbull, but he had won 18 straight fights before that. As for Carlyle, he has won five straight fights, with all of those recent wins coming by stoppage. Overall, McKee is the clear favorite, but Carlyle is going to try and play spoiler.
