Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC San Diego Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC San Diego features top bantamweights Marlon Vera and Dominick Cruz. Vera has been on a roll as of late as he’s won his last three fights over Davey Grant, Frankie Edgar, and Rob Font. He has really leveled up in recent fights and appears to be in the top form of his career to date. As for Cruz, he is riding a two-fight wins streak over Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz. This is a great fight between two of the best fighters in the world at 135lbs and Cruz will be fighting at home to make things even more interesting. Vera opened up as the betting favorite, but you can never count the veteran Cruz out of winning any fight.
- Also on the card is a featherweight bout between David Onama and Nate Landwehr. Onama has looked fantastic in the UFC as he’s won his last two fights by stoppage, while Landwehr is coming off of a huge upset win over Ludovit Klein. This should be an awesome fight, with the bookies opening up Onama as the favorite.
