Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 135:
- The main event of LFA 135 is a welterweight bout between Alfonso Leyva and Daniel Reis. Leyva is a Mexican-based fighter who is just 29 years old and he is already 5-0 as a pro with all five wins coming by way of knockout. He has been a pro since 2020 and has been destroying everyone on his path for the UWC promotion. As for Reis, he is a 30-year-old Brazilian who is 8-1 in his pro MMA career. Reis has been a pro since 2013 but took a six-year hiatus between 2016 and 2022. When he returned to the cage earlier this year, he picked up a victory by submission to get back into the win column. This looks like a striker vs. grappler bout, and given how active Leyva has been recently, the oddsmakers favor him to get the win.
- The co-main event of LFA 135 is a flyweight bout between Felipe Burnes and Wascar. Brunes last fought earlier this year when he was submitted by former UFC fighter Jussier Formiga, and overall, he has lost four of his last five fights. As for Cruz, he is coming off of a victory himself. The odds are fairly close for this one given both men are talented but have also struggled to maintain any sort of consistency as of late when it comes to wins and losses.
