Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 134:
- The main event of LFA 134 is a bantamweight bout between Muin Gafurov and Herbeth Sousa. Gafurov was last seen on Dana White’s Contender Series where he lost a split decision to current UFC fighter Chad Anheliger. It was a very close fight that could have gone either way, but because Gafurov lost, he wasn’t signed to the UFC, but Anheliger was. Gafurov is a very experienced fighter who holds a win over former UFC fighter Leandro Issa and a loss to former UFC fighter John Lineker in ONE Championship. As for Sousa, he is a Jungle Fight and CFFC veteran who has won his last five fights in a row. The Brazilian is a very talented fighter and it will be interesting to see how he does in LFA. The odds opened up fairly close, but the oddsmakers actually gave a slight lean to Sousa, likely due to his recent win streak.
- In the co-main event, featherweights Mikko Tucto and Olivier Murad fight. Tucto is a Combate veteran who has lost his last two fights, while Murad is an unbeaten prospect who won his fight on the Contender Series but wasn’t signed to the UFC. Murad opened as the favorite.
