Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 141:
- The main event of CWFC 141 is a vacant lightweight title bout between George Hardwick and Kyle Driscoll. Hardwick is riding a five-fight win streak into this bout with all of those wins coming in Cage Warriors and in Bellator. As for Driscoll, he is riding an eight-fight win streak into this bout, with wins in Cage Warriors and in Dana White’s Contender Series. Both guys are solid fighters and this should be a good fight. With Hardwick having the perceived hometown advantage as an English-based fighter, he opened as the slight favorite here.
- Also on the card is a CWFC flyweight title bout between champion Sam Creasey and Dylan Hazan. Creasey was knocked out by Luke Shanks in his last fight, but his opponent missed weight so he remained the champion at 125lbs. Prior to that loss, he had won four straight fights. As for Hazan, he is unbeaten at 8-0 and he has been looking solid while competing in CWFC. With Creasey coming off such a bad loss, he opened up here as the underdog despite being the champion, which is something you don’t often see.
