Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 128:
- The main event of LFA 128 is a vacant LFA lightweight title bout between Aaron McKenzie and Lucas Clay. McKenzie has been a pro dating back to 2016 and he has plenty of experience fighting for LFA, not to mention Bellator. The majority of his wins have come by finish, and he’s won his last three fights in a row. As for Clay, he is also an LFA veteran and he’s won his last four fights in a row. He also has a win over current UFC fighter Mike Breeden. This looks like a competitive fight and the odds are tight for a reason as this looks like a fight that can go either way. Look for the winner of this lightweight title bout to potentially get a shot in the UFC after.
- The co-main event is a heavyweight bout between Jimmy Lawson and Marino Eatman. Lawson is an AKA product who is 3-1 as a pro. After losing to Said Sowma in his MMA debut back in 2019, Lawson has won his last three straight fights by knockout. As for Eatman, he is just 5-4-1 overall in MMA. A pro dating back to 2014, he has competed for promotions such as Island Fights and CFFC. He has fought some notable names during his career but he has rarely come out on top when he’s fought a higher level of competition. I agree with Lawson being the favorite here due to having more momentum having won his last two fights by TKO.
