Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 135:
- The main event of Cage Warriors 135 is a welterweight bout between Daniel Skibinski and Justin Burlinson. Skibinski is a pro dating back to 2013 but this is actually his CWFC debut. He is coming off of a TKO loss in UAE Warriors in his last fight, snapping a 12-fight win streak for him. That was his first loss in five years, so it will be interesting to see how he bounces back from it. As for Burlinson, he is coming off of a brutal KO loss on Dana White’s Contender Series, his first career defeat, and he will be looking to bounce back here with a win. Both guys are talented, but Burlinson does seem to hit hard and opened up as the betting favorite here.
- The co-main event sees UFC veteran Darren Stewart return to CWFC against Carlos Antonio de Souza. Stewart flamed out of the UFC with three losses in his last four fights, but he is still a dangerous fighter and shouldn’t be written off just yet. As for de Souza, this is actually his 30th pro MMA fight, so he is very experienced himself. Despite the experience, though, he doesn’t have a quality win to his name. Look for Stewart to bounce-back win a TKO win.
