Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL Challenger Series 7
- PFL Challenger Series 7 is different from all of the other PFL Challenger Series cards so far in two ways. First, the card does not feature a single weight class, unlike the first six events. On this card, we actually have four different weight classes on display. Here’s the other thing to keep in mind: none of these fighters have any professional MMA experience. That’s right, all 10 fighters slated to fight in this event have a combined zero pro MMA fights to their record. Granted, the majority of the fighters on the card do have several amateur MMA bouts on their records, but the fact that the majority of these fighters have never fought pro is interesting.
- If you do plan on betting on this card, I definitely recommend watching tape on these fighters if you can find their previous amateur fights. Although the rules in amateur MMA are slightly different, the tape could still give you a better idea of what the styles of these fighters are. I would caution going big on anyone on this card just because there isn’t much information about these fighters. That being said, if there is something that stands out to you after doing more research, then take a shot at it. Just remember that these fighters have no professional experience and that makes handicapping these fights more difficult than with pro fighters.
