Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 276:
- The main event of Bellator 276 sees Mads Burnell take on Adam Borics for a Bellator featherweight title shot. Burnell has won his last seven straight fights since he lost in the UFC to Arnold Allen via third-round submission. Since then, he simply hasn’t lost. He has been finishing many of his opponents, too, and is now one win away from fighting for the Bellator featherweight title. As for Borics, he has been one of the best featherweights in Bellator for a few years now, too. Borics is 8-1 overall in Bellator and he has won his last three fights in a row. This should be an excellent matchup, with the winner deservingly getting a 145lbs title shot. Burnell has more momentum, but you can’t count out Borics and he’s a live dog here.
- As for the co-main event, Phil Davis takes on Julius Anglickas at 205lbs. Davis has won four of his last five fights, with a split decision win over Yoel Romero in his last outing. As for Anglickas, he lost to Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov in his last outing, which was his first loss in six years. Anglickas is solid, but Davis deserves to be favored here.
