Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 275:
- The main event of Bellator 275 is a five-round middleweight title bout between champion Gegard Mousasi and challenger Austin Vanderford. Mousasi is 36 years now but he is still fighting at a high level, having won his last three fights in Bellator. Mousasi is coming off of a stoppage win over John Salter in his last fight and he will look to make another title defense here against Vanderford. For Vanderford, he has earned the chance to fight for the title after winning all 11 of his pro MMA fights, including a perfect 5-0 mark in Bellator. Vanderford is a very good fighter and it will be interesting to see what he does with his opportunity against Mousasi. In my opinion, however, it’s a tough fight for him. Unless he can wrestle Mousasi for five rounds, it seems more likely that Mousasi will be able to hurt Vanderford and finish him.
- As for the co-main event, it’s a featherweight bout between Sinead Kavanagh and Leah McCourt. Kavanagh is coming off of a KO loss to champion Cris Cyborg, while McCourt has won six straight fights, including a win over current UFC standout Manon Fiorot. This should be a fun fight between two strikers, but McCourt has more momentum and should win this.
