Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 125:
- The main event of LFA 125 is a five-round vacant LFA women’s strawweight title fight between Jaqueline Amorim and Loveth Young. Amorim is just 26 years old and she is 4-0 in MMA since turning pro in 2020, with two wins by stoppage under the LFA banner. In her last fight, Amorim scored a 10-second knockout win. In fact, all four of her pro victories have come via first-round stoppage. As for Young, she is 32 years old and is 3-1-1 as a pro, including a 2-1 mark in LFA. After losing to Vanessa Demopoulos in her LFA debut back in 2020, Young has won two fights since then via knockout. Keep in mind this fight was booked for last November but was scrapped due to medical issues. Hopefully, there are no issues this time around so we can see this fight and have a new champion crowned. My lean is towards Amorim winning the fight.
- The co-main event is a welterweight bout between Solomon Renfro and Adam Fugitt. Renfro is coming off of a split decision loss to Johnny Parsons on Dana White’s Contender Series. It was a close fight and had he won, he might be on the UFC roster right now. As for Fugitt, he is 33 years old and he hasn’t fought since 2019. Fugitt does have a lot of experience and he has fought in LFA before, but the long layoff is a concern, so Renfro should be favored here.
