Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 119:

  • The main event of LFA 119 features LFA light heavyweight champion Josh Silveira taking on Canadian Jared Revel. Silveira is an American Top Team product that is only 28 years old. He is already 6-0 in MMA since turning pro in 2019 with all of his wins coming by stoppage. As for Revel, he is 37 years old and he is making his debut for LFA on the strength of six straight wins. In his last fight, Revel picked up an upset win over former UFC fighter Sergio Moraes. As a fellow Canadian, it’s nice to see Revel get recognized by a bigger promotion like LFA. But I feel like this is going to be a tough fight for him, and Silveira seems likely to get the finish.
  • The co-main event is for the vacant LFA bantamweight title between Richard Palencia and Allan Begosso. Palencia is a perfect 9-0 in his MMA career and he has had several fights in LFA in the past. As for Begosso, he is also undefeated at 6-0-1 and also has experience fighting for LFA. This looks like a competitive fight for the vacant bantamweight strap, but I would lean slightly towards Palencia as the bookies do, due to having more experience.
