Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 270:
- The main event of Bellator 270 is a vacant Bellator lightweight title fight between Patricky Pitbull and Peter Queally. This is actually a rematch as these two met back in May and Queally won via second-round doctor stoppage. While Queally won the first fight, he is still a sizable underdog in the rematch despite Pitbull coming off of two straight losses. Pitbull is a great fighter, but he’s not as good as his brother, and these odds seem too long on him. Queally is an underrated fighter and he appears to be the value side here as far as the odds go.
- The co-main event of Bellator 270 features Patchy Mix against James Gallagher in a bantamweight bout. Mix is 3-1 overall in Bellator and he’s coming off of a big submission win over Albert Morales in his last fight. As for Gallagher, he has won his last four fights since suffering his lone career defeat to Ricky Bandejas. This fight is closer to me than the odds indicate and I do think the dog might be on the value side here. As good as Mix is, Gallagher has been very impressive and he’s a young fighter who can still make big improvements.
