Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2021: Week 10 Opening Odds:
- The six PFL 2021 championship fights all take place at this event, so there is $6 million up for grabs for the tournament winners. The following weight classes will see a tournament winner crowned: heavyweight, light heavyweight, welterweight, lightweight, featherweight, and women’s lightweight. In addition to those championship fights, there are also several non-title fights on the undercard featuring former UFC and Bellator fighters. Overall, this looks to be a stacked card and probably the best card that PFL has ever put on its short three-year history.
- In the main event of the evening, PFL women’s lightweight star Kayla Harrison looks to win her second tournament in PFL when she takes on Taylor Guardado. Harrison has been smashing everyone in her path for the last few years in PFL and with a win over Guardado, she is expected to be courted by the UFC. Guardado, meanwhile, has looked very good in this season’s PFL tournament on her way to the finals, but she likely does not have the takedown defense to stop Harrison from doing what she wants to do with her. It’s not surprising that once again Harrison opened up as a massive favorite to beat Guardado at giant -2500 odds.
