Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 267:
- The main event of Bellator 267 is a rematch between top-ranked welterweights Douglas Lima and Michael Page. These two met in the Bellator cage two years ago, with Lima winning the fight via second-round KO. Since then, Lima has gone just 1-2 with a win over Rory MacDonald and losses to Gegard Mousasi and Yaroslav Amosov, with the latter fight seeing him lose his belt. As for Page, he has gone a perfect 5-0 since the last time he fought Lima, but all five of his wins came over unranked opponents. Page certainly has the striking skills to win this fight but with Lima being the more well-rounded fighter, he opened as a slight favorite.
- The co-main event is a women’s featherweight bout between Leah McCourt and Jessica Borga. McCourt is a perfect 4-0 in Bellator and could be in line for a Bellator 145lbs title shot against champ Cris Cyborg if she wins this fight. As for Borga, she is just 1-1 overall in Bellator and lost her last fight. This is classic Bellator matchmaking here. They want McCourt to win the fight and she most likely will, with her -600 odds are certainly reflective of the style matchup.
