Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 115:
- The main event of LFA 115 features Josh Silveira taking on Tee Cummins for the vacant LFA light heavyweight title. Silveira is a 28-year-old American Top Team product who is a perfect 5-0 in his MMA career since turning pro in 2019, with all five of his wins coming by way of stoppage. As for Cummins, he is just 29 and he has been a pro since 2019 as well, going 4-0 with four knockouts. This should be an excellent fight between two prospects at 205lbs who are looking to show the UFC that they belong in the big show. Silveira and Cummins seem fairly evenly matched, so based on the opening odds, this looks like a dog-or-pass situation.
- The co-main event of LFA 115 sees Jordan Heiderman take on Chad Johnson in another light heavyweight bout. The 30-year-old Heiderman is a perfect 4-0 in MMA since he turned pro in 2018, with all four of his wins coming by way of stoppage for him. As for Johnson, he was on Dana White’s Contender Series last summer and lost via TKO to current UFC heavyweight Josh Parisian. Moving back down to 205lbs should benefit Johnson as he was too undersized at heavyweight, but Heiderman is still the clear favorite to get his hand raised in this fight.
