Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 32 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 32 features a five-round bantamweight bout between Cory Sandhagen and TJ Dillashaw. Sandhagen is one of the top contenders at 135lbs right now after knocking out Frankie Edgar and Marlon Moraes in impressive fashion in his last two fights, while Dillashaw is returning to the cage after over two years away due to a USADA suspension. It will be a fascinating matchup to watch go down as Sandhagen is currently fighting at an elite level while Dillashaw is the former champion of the UFC bantamweight division. The oddsmakers opened Sandhagen as just a small favorite here, giving him the respect he earned for his winning streak, but also giving Dillashaw respect as a former champ.
- The co-main event sees Aspen Ladd against Macy Chiasson with the winner potentially next in line for UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. Ladd hasn’t fought in nearly two years due to injuries but the last time we saw her, she knocked out Yana Kunitskaya. Chiasson, meanwhile, is coming off of a win over Marion Reneau in her last fight. This should be a competitive bout but Ladd is the higher-ranked fighter and she opened as the favorite.
