Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 263:
- The main event of Bellator 263 features Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull putting his belt on the line in the Grand Prix finals against undefeated prospect AJ McKee. For my money, this is one of the single-best fights that Bellator has ever put on in the promotion’s history, and I’m expecting an absolute war between these two studs. Starting with Pitbull, he has won seven straight fights with wins over the likes of Michael Chandler, Juan Archuleta, and Daniel Weichel during his win streak. He is arguably the greatest Bellator fighter of all time, and McKee is going to look to take that crown from him here. At just 26, McKee is a perfect 17-0 in Bellator and in MMA since making his pro debut in 2015. Pitbull has the experience edge, but McKee is so talented and dynamic that you see Pick ’em odds here.
- The co-main event sees featherweights Emmanuel Sanchez and Mads Burnell going at it. Sanchez is coming off of a submission loss to Pitbull but he had won three straight fights before that. As for Burnell, he is a perfect 6-0 since he was cut by the UFC in 2018. While I think Sanchez is a fine fighter, I’m very high on Burnell’s grappling and he is a live dog here.
