Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 111:
- The main event of LFA 111 features lightweights Rangel de Sa and Ismael Bonfim going at it. Da Sa is just 26 years old and he has won his last six fights in a row heading into this matchup in LFA, which will be his debut for the promotion after having previously competed for Shooto Brazil. A knockout artist, de Sa has won four of his last six fights by knockout. His opponent is the 25-year-old Bonfim, who is also making his LFA debut. Bonfim has won his last eight fights in a row while competing for promotions such as Jungle Fight and Shooto Brazil. Bonfim has no notable wins but he does have two notable losses to Renato Moicano and ONE Championship fighter Adriano Moraes. The oddsmakers opened de Sa as a small favorite.
- The co-main event is a bantamweight bout between Ary Farias and Marcos Breno. The 31-year-old Farias is coming off of a TKO win over Johnny Campbell, who is currently doing good things in Bellator, so that’s a very nice victory to have on the resume. As for Breno, at just 23 years old he has won eight of his last nine fights. The oddsmakers opened this fight as a Pick ’em but if you ask me, there could be some value on Farias here at this short betting line.
