BKFC: Knucklemania takes place today (Friday, February 5, 2021) at RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida. Circa Sports in Las Vegas recently opened up the betting odds for the event, and also is hosting an “ultimate viewing party” live at 9 p.m ET.
The main event of BKFC: Knucklemania features Paige VanZant vs Britain Hart in a 125-pound clash.
VanZant is making her bare-knuckle boxing debut, having previously gone 8-5 in mixed martial arts, including a 5-4 stint in the UFC. Hart has a boxing and bareknuckle combat sports background. She is 1-2 in the promotion notably fought former UFC fighter Bec Rawlings to a close split decision at BKFC 2 in August 2018.
The co-main event features a bantamweight title bout between Johnny Bedford and Dat Nguyen.
A former UFC fighter, Bedford is the current BKFC bantamweight champion. He is 5-0 under the BKFC banner, most recently defeating Charles Bennett via TKO (injury) at BKFC 9 in November 2019. Nguyen has a pro boxing background, sporting a 20-3 record in boxing. He’s 2-0 in BKFC, coming off a first round knockout victory against Abdiel Velasquez at BKFC 10 in February 2020.
Former UFC fighter Chris Leben also is competing on the card.
