He might be peaking at this point in his career but he will have to overcome a large experience edge for Riberio. Almeida will have youth, competition activity, and a familiarity with the FTW rule set given Xande has yet to compete under them. “
“Last time we saw Garry Tonon he put on a contender for match of the year vs UFC veteran Davi Ramos. Tonon is all action and blends a submission first approach with incredible creativity and athleticism. Tonon’s opponent will be multiple time no-gi world champion and recent FTW winner Queixinho Moizinho. Queixinho, typically known more for his acumen with the gi jumped at the opportunity vs Tonon and is committed to showing his no-gi game vs an opponent of Tonon’s caliber. It will be interesting how leg locks play a role in this match, how does Queixinho’s game translate to no-gi, and what new techniques will Tonon bust out (He always does at least one thing to shock you).”
