LFA 80 takes place at the Route 66 Casino Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico tonight (Friday, January 17, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on UFC Fight Pass. Featherweights Steve Garcia Jr. and Jose Mariscal are slated to duke it out in the main event.
Garcia Jr. (10-3) is riding an three-fight winning streak and is making his LFA debut. He most recently defeated Desmond Torres via first round TKO at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in August. Mariscal (10-4) has won four of his last five fights and sports a (1-1) record under the LFA banner. He most recently defeated Vladimir Cerbadji via first round TKO at HFC 40 in September.
The co-main event features a pair of flyweights as Jerome Rivera takes on Kendrick Latchman.
Rivera (8-2) is looking to even his record with LFA after going 1-2 in the promotion thus far. He most recently won via first round submission against Gene Perez at Jackson’s MMA Series 27 in February. Latchman (8-5) is returning to MMA after an unsuccessful stint in boxing. He currently owns a (1-1) record in LFA. In his last MMA bout, he lost a split decision to James Mancini at TKO 47 in April.
