Hispanic MMA promotion Combate Americas hosts Combate 52 at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 9 p.m. ET live on TUDN and Univision, with prelims streamed live on Facebook. The main event features a featherweight bout between Javier Reyes Rugeles and Joe Neal.
Rugeles (8-3) is still hunting for his first Combate Americas victory in his third attempt. He most recently lost via third round knockout against Alex Valazco at Combate 30 this past February. Neal (6-4) is making his debut under the Combate Americas banner. He started his career on a five-fight winning streak, but has lost four of his last five, most recently dropping a split decision to Josh San Diego at Bellator 206 in September 2018.
The co-main event features a featherweight bout between Marlon Gonzalez and Horacio Gutierrez. Gonzalez (15-4-2) is fighting for the third time in Combate Americas, sporting an 1-1 record with the promotion. He most recently earned a split decision over Pablo Villaseca at Combate 36 in April. Gutierrez (6-3) is fighting for the third time with Combate, currently sporting a 2-0 record with the promotion. He most recently defeated Chase Gibson via first round TKO at Combate 45 in September.
