LFA 72 takes place at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday (July 26, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on AXS TV. Middleweights Daniel Madrid and Chris Harris are slated to duke it out in the main event.
Madrid (16-6) has gone 1-1 inside the LFA cage, and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. The “DemiGod” most recently finished UFC veteran Seth Baczynski via first round guillotine choke at LFA 59 this past February. Harris (11-3) also has split his two fights under the LFA banner and has currently won two bouts in a row. Harris most recently won a split decision over Zak Bucia at EFC 10 last October.
In the co-main event, a UFC veteran takes on a surging Brazilian in an intriguing bantamweight fight as Anthony Birchak battles Raphael Montini de Lima.
Birchak (12-6) is making his LFA debut. He most recently scored a first minute TKO stoppage against Adam Martinez in October to snap a three-fight losing streak in Asia. De Lima (6-2) is riding a three-fight losing streak, but he’s searching for his first LFA victory after losing his promotional debut. He most recently scored a first round guillotine choke victory over JT Wells this past May.
