LFA 69 takes place at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, California on Friday (June 7, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on AXS TV. UFC veteran Brandon Moreno battles Cuba’s Maikel Perez for the LFA flyweight title in the main event.

Moreno (13-4) is coming off consecutive losses to Sergio Pettis and Alejandro Pantoja in the UFC, most recently losing a decision to Pantoja in May of 2018. The 25-year-old won his first three UFC fights to become a top contender, including a stoppage victory over Dustin Ortiz. He has focused on his grappling in the past year, going 2-1 in the Combat Jiu-Jitsu Fight Night promotion. Perez (6-1) has won four consecutive bouts in LFA, most recently knocking out Sid Bice in the second round at LFA 37 in April of 2018. The 36-year-old has finished his opponent in four of his six career wins.

In the co-main event, Brazil’s Arthur Estrazulas tackles Steve Kozola in a lightweight affair.

Estrazulas (10-4) has fought in Bellator, RFA, ACB and PFL, most recently dropping a split decision to UFC veteran Thiago Tavares at PFL 2018 No. 5 last August. He has won five of his last seven fights, finishing his last four victories. Kozola (9-2) is a Bellator veteran making his LFA debut. The 29-year-old went 4-2 under the Bellator banner, most recently knocking out Ryan Walker in 1:45 at Bellator 202 last July.
