UFC Vegas 7 took place Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was headlined by a bantamweight bout between Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar.

Marcin Prachnio and Mike Rodriguez worked each other over in the clinch early, but Rodriguez blasted Prachnio with a brutal elbow and follow up ground strikes to earn a first round TKO victory. Rodriguez was victorious as a -210 favorite while Prachnio was +180
Daniel Rodriguez was nearly finished by Dwight Grant early in the first round, but Rodriguez barely held on, then hurt Grant and finished him moments later. Rodriguez was a slight -215 fav while Grant was +185
Jordan Wright took the fight to Ike Villanueva, hurting him with a spinning kick moments into the first round, then landing a brutal knee in the clinch that opened up a fight-ending cut. Wright was -125. Villanueva was +105
Underdogs that Won
In the main event of the evening, Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz threw down in a highly competitive five-round scrap. Edgar landed good combinations while Munhoz was constantly pushing forward and pressuring the former lightweight champion with heavy single strikes and leg kicks. In the end, the judges sided with Edgar via split decision. Edgar was a +230 underdog while Munhoz was -270
Joe Solecki was able to quickly take the fight to the floor against Austin Hubbard, where he finished him via rear naked choke in the first round. Solecki was +100 while Hubbard was -120
In the biggest upset in UFC history, Shana Dobson turned the tables on Mariya Agapova. Agapova expended all of her energy trying to take Dobson out in the first round, but she hit a huge adrenaline dump in round two and Dobson pounded her out to score a TKO. Dobson was a massive +1150 underdog while Agapova was -1900
Amanda Lemos landed the superior strikes in open space and was able to secure a couple takedowns to earn a decision against a game Mizuki Inoue, who scored a significant amount of clinch control to try to take away Lemos’ weapons. Lemos was a +115 dog while Inoue was -135
In the opening bout of the evening, Timur Valiev was inches away from finishing Trevin Jones in a one-sided first round, but Jones bounced back and blasted Valiev with a huge right hand to hurt him in the second round and earn a TKO finish. Jones was a +460 underdog while Valiev was -595
Pick ’em Fights
The odds were a lot closer than this fight was, as Carlton Minus was completely outclassed by Matthew Semelsberger over the course of three rounds, as Semelsberger scored an easy unanimous decision. Both fighters closed at pick’em -110
