Volkan Oezdemir was very impressive against Ilir Latifi landing a variety of shots before putting him away late in round two. Oezdemir closed -164. Latifi closed +144
Rodolfo Vieira was successful in his UFC debut earning a head and arm choke victory in the second round over Oskar Piechota. Vieira closed -208 with the return on Piechota +170
Enrique Barzola landed the more effective strikes throughout the fight to win a split decision over Bobby Moffett. Barzola closed -175 while Moffett closed +151
Ciryl Gane took Raphael Pessoa to the mat towards the end of round one and secured an arm triangle choke to earn a victory in his UFC debut. Gane closed -476 while Pessoa closed +373
Rogerio Bontorin and Raulian Paiva had a wild one round fight in which both guys took significant damage in round one. It was Paiva, however, that walked away the loser as the doctor decided to stop the bout due to a cut over the right eye. Bontorin closed -112. Paiva closed -105
Alex da Silva had over eleven minutes of control time in the cage as he dominated his fight with Rodrigo Vargas with a unanimous decision. Da Silva closed -357 with the return on Vargas +278
Veronica Macedo earned a quick armbar submission over Polyana Viana to secure a first-round victory. Macedo closed -122 while Viana closed +103
Underdogs that Won
Gilbert Burns took Alexey Kunchenko down in the first two rounds before slowing down in round three. He did enough in the first two rounds to win a decision. Burns closed +113 with Kunchenko closing -133
Marina Rodriguez put forth the best fight of her career as she was better than Tecia Torres in all three rounds to win a decision. Rodriguez closed +149 while Torres closed -167. Expect Rodriguez to be ranked in the top fifteen of the strawweight division in the next rankings update
Capitalizing on a big third round, Chris Gutierrez snuck out a split decision win over Geraldo de Freitas. Gutierrez closed +154 while de Freitas closed -175
