Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 22 took place Tuesday, July 30, 2019.The card was headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Aleksa Camur and Fabio Cherant.

Aleksa Camur closed the show with a flying knee of his own to send Fabio Cherant to the canvas. Camur followed up with ground and pound to get the TKO victory. Camur closed -400. Cherant closed +274. It was an easy decision for UFC management to give him a contract

Daniel Rodriguez did his best work on the ground nearly getting a TKO at the end of round three to cap off a wide decision victory over Rico Farrington. Rodriguez closed -200 with the return on Farrington +170

Rodrigo Nascimento had no problem with Michal Martinek has he earned a head and arm choke submission victory in the opening round. Nascimento closed -156 while Martinek closed +136. With the submission, he was awarded a UFC contract

 

Underdogs that Won

Aalon Cruz delivered one of the all time great flying knee knockouts in MMA history as he stunned Steven Nguyen in the final minute of round three. Cruz closed +143 while Nguyen closed -161. To the surprise of no one, Cruz was brought into the UFC with the victory

Tracy Cortez was dominant in the grappling exchanges nearly submitting Mariya Agapova multiple times in the fight to cruise to a decision victory. Cortez closed -101 with Agapova closing -119. Dana White was impressed by Cortez tenacity and therefore offered her a UFC contract
