In a fight that was much closer than the scorecards indicated Alexander Hernandez earned a hard-fought decision victory over Francisco Trinaldo. Hernandez closed -233 while Trinaldo closed +190
Klidson Abreu landed with more volume to beat Sam Alvey by decision. Abreu closed -196 with Alvey at +171
Jennifer Maia was able to consistently defend Roxanne Modafferi’s takedown attempts and easily out strike her on the feet to win a clear decision. Maia closed -149 with the return on Modafferi +128
After a poor opening round, Ray Borg’s tenacity took over as he out worked Gabriel Silva to win a unanimous decision. Borg closed -167 while Silva closed +142
Underdogs that Won
Greg Hardy defended a Juan Adams’ takedown attempt rather easily and delivered a series of punches to the side of Adams’ head during the attempted takedown forcing the referee to step in and stop the bout early in round one. Hardy closed +106 while Adams closed -125
Andrei Arlovski was the most aggressive he has been in a long while out landing Ben Rothwell to win all three rounds and a unanimous decision. Arlovski closed +150. Rothwell closed -179
Steven Peterson looked good in round one, but Alex Caceres adjusted well to win in the final two rounds to win a decision. Caceres closed -103 with Peterson closing -118
In what was anticipated to be a close fight, ended a close fight as Raquel Pennington edged Irene Aldana by split decision. Pennington closed +132 with Aldana closed -154
Mario Bautista was the more active striker landing with more volume in a 15-minute striking fest with Jin Soo Son. Bautista closed +150. Son closed -172
Felipe Colares got off to a strong start landing the bigger punches and having large periods of control on the mat. Despite losing the third round, he held on for a split decision victory over Domingo Pilarte. Colares closed the biggest underdog on the card at +325 while Pilarte closed -400
